EN:Able Futures have partnered with The Civil & Structural Engineering Team of Alan Wood & Partners in Hull to recruit a Civil Engineering Apprentice Technician to support the daily needs of projects within the team.
Following a thorough induction, the successful candidate will embark on an exciting 2 year programme where they will be exposed to a variety of disciplines and learn how to use a range of Autodesk products fluently, prepare calculations and become an integral part of the team.
Depending on the successful candidate's current level of education, they will be supported through college day release.
Initially employed through EN:Able Futures for a two year period. Alan Wood & Partners will also support their professional development; they will join the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) as a student member and their studies, along with the wealth of experience that will be available to them, will potentially culminate in them becoming a Technician member of the ICE.
As an Civil Engineering Apprentice Technician they will gain skills and knowledge in:
- Producing CAD drawings
- Preparing simple calculations
- Supporting the administration of projects
- Ensuring outputs meet the required standards
- Meeting agreed deadlines
- Maintaining drawing register
- Working as a member of a team
- Contributing to providing solutions to problems
- Working both in an office environment and on site visits.
