EN:Procure has awarded contracts to 50 contractors over 17 lots on its new EN Procure Installation and Repairs framework. Sourcing the best in a wide range of housing works disciplines, the more efficient and flexible framework will offer a leading-edge supply chain for social housing repairs and planned maintenance.
The new framework is predominantly for social housing in Yorkshire and Humber but may extend to other public buildings such as schools and offices and other areas of the UK.
The new framework will build on the success of EN:Procure’s existing Installers framework, which has delivered more than £120m of works.
The new framework has an anticipated pipeline of £240m over its 4-year lifetime and will offer a leading-edge supply chain for Efficiency North’s social housing landlord members, who own and manage more than 80% of the social housing stock within the region.
It will also be instrumental in the success of Efficiency North’s strategy to support social mobility in the communities of member landlords by boosting local training and employment opportunities. Training delivery is written into the contract, with a minimum of 2 training opportunities to be provided by the contractor for every £1m works value. Training and employment opportunities will be targeted to maximize their positive impact in housing providers’ communities.
The framework has been flexibly structured to increase the number of opportunities available regardless of contractors’ size or location.
66% of those appointed are SMEs with approximately half of these being locally based SMEs who’ve won the chance to work on social housing projects in their own neighbourhoods.
50% of contractors on the new EN Procure Installation and Repairs framework were previously appointed to the EN Procure Installers Framework.
It offers a wide range of works and services including kitchen and bathroom installation, brickwork and masonry, renewable heating and ventilation, roofing, general building works, painting, estates improvements, external works, and whole house improvement works.
