Highly commended – National Construction Excellence Awards 2009
Following on from Efficiency North’s success at the regional Constructing Excellence 2009 Awards where the organisation scooped the ‘Integration and Collaborative Working Award’ the consortium was highly commended at the National Construction Excellence Awards at the Lords Cricket Ground in London on 19 November 2009.
The awards provide an opportunity for leading organisations such as Efficiency North to be seen and recognised as proactively supporting and leading innovation within the Built Environment.
For the regional awards Judges were looking for evidence of early involvement, selection by value, common processes and tools across organisations, long-term relationships, modern commercial arrangements and fair payment practices and delivery to client defined performance measures as well as evidence of improvements as a result. Judges also required evidence of how workforce development has improved as a result of collaboration, in addition to the products or services and customer satisfaction together with integrating their teams to such a level that they appear as a single entity to the customer.
The Judges described Efficiency North as, “having a positive and often proactive approach to Integration and Collaborative working – resulting in positive benefits on cost, programme, and value for money, for both clients and supply chains. They are indeed a catalyst for encouraging Integration & Collaborative working across the industry and across the region.”
