EN:ABLE COMMUNITIES

Community Investment Fund

More about the funded projects

The Community Investment Fund (CIF) was a grant giving scheme run by EN:Able Communities to direct funds generated through surplus from Efficiency North's procurement frameworks into the local communities served by its social housing landlord membership across Yorkshire and Humber.

Between 2015 and 2018, we supported 159 projects through £600,000 total funding in grants of up to £10k to a range of small local groups and charities. These included support for the homeless, healthy living classes, local employment groups, theatre and art projects, environmental regeneration, hospices and inner city allotment projects.

Funding was channeled into the areas Efficiency North's member landlords work in and was assessed by the EN:Able Communities Board of Trustees.

The Community Investment Fund closed in 2018 and was superseded by a new grant scheme focussed on training, employment and skills outcomes: the Social Mobility Fund.
