The 12 community projects scoring highest on the EN:Able Community Investment Fund evaluation scale in each annual bid cycle are automatically eligible to be considered for HRH The Duke of York’s Community Initiative Award. Any of these top 12 projects wishing to be considered for the Award are subsequently visited by HRH The Duke of York’s Community Initiative Award assessment team, who give their final consideration of the projects’ level of excellence and how well they work for the benefit of their local communities, in order to gain this prestigious award.
HRH The Duke of York’s Community Initiative is a Royal Award presented to community projects based in Yorkshire, owned, developed and led by the people they serve. Projects receiving the award are of real value to the community, well run and an inspiration to others.
Individual awards are also given in recognition of exceptional leadership skills.
Efficiency North is also proud to support The Business End Grant Scheme, designed to help HRH The Duke of York’s Community Initiative Award holders and further support their activities throughout the region.
“Efficiency North’s work in Yorkshire and the Humber demonstrates that their innovative approach to procurement for social landlords delivers essential funding for community groups in our region. Their hard work and commitment provides an opportunity to community groups not only to access funding but also to build community pride. We greatly value our relationship with Efficiency North and look forward to working with them in the future to promote our award schemes further for the benefit of community groups in the Yorkshire and Humber region.”
