Building Information Modelling Apprentice (Level 3 Advanced)
Apprenticeship available in Leeds, Cramington or Stockton-on-Tees
As a Building Information Modelling Apprentice studying toward a level 3 Digital Engineering Technician Apprenticeship Standard, the successful candidate will develop skills and knowledge working with software called Revit to produce drawings in a 3D modelling environment for engineering services across all stages of design. This could be from concept through to installation of building services within a construction build project.
Electrical Design Engineer Apprentice (Level 3 Advanced)

Learn how to design electrical power systems using industry leading software, developing skills in:
• Designing lighting systems.
• Assisting in producing detailed design drawings for electrical services (lighting/power/data/fire alarms/security systems).
• AutoCAD.
• Revit.
• Microsoft range of software packages.
• Industry specialist design software such as Relux/Amtech.
Apprentice Building Physics Engineer (Level 3 - Advanced)
Apprenticeship available in Leeds
Learn how to dynamically model buildings using IES Ltd. software packages, developing skills in:
• Constructing building models in the 3D software (www.iesve.com).
• Building thermal loads for engineering systems design for thermal comfort.
• Providing carbon emission calculations for compliance with building regulations Part L2.
• Producing Daylight modelling for buildings.
• Carrying out carbon emission studies for all types of buildings to help clients shape their net zero carbon plans.
Apprentice Mechanical Design Engineer (Level 3 Advanced)
Apprenticeship available in Leeds
Learn how to design mechanical systems using Industry software, developing skills in:
• Producing detailed design drawings for mechanical services (heating/cooling/ventilation/domestic water services/above ground drainage)
• Design heating, ventilation and domestic water design systems.
• Autocad.
• Revit.
• Microsoft software.
• Industry specialist design software such as IES (specialist Built Environment software)
The apprenticeships are being hosted with CAD21, an energy and building services design consultants that offer a range of specialist services.
All Leeds based apprenticeship standards will be studied at Leeds College of Building. All North East based apprenticeships will be studied at Hartlepool College.
