As an apprentice, you will engage in a wide range of day-to-day tasks that will contribute to the success of a variety of building projects. Here are some of the key responsibilities you will undertake:
- Conducting operations to minimize environmental impact and adhering to pollution control measures in accordance with legislation, industry guidance, and organizational policies.
- Upholding biosecurity and invasive species legislation, industry guidance, and organisational policies.
- Ensuring plant health by identifying and managing pests, pathogens, and disorders.
- Preparing sites for planting, carrying out planting activities, and providing ongoing care to plants.
- Controlling vegetation through site clearance, weed management, pruning, and basic turf management.
- Installing various soft landscape materials such as shrubs, trees, turf, and seeds.
- Maintaining hard surfaces, features, and structures to preserve their integrity and appearance.
