Joe enjoyed Maths and school but he didn’t like much else. His Dad, a Site Manager at Network Rail, told him about the side of the industry that less people are aware of and Joe got really interested in Engineering from there.

Brief description of duties:
Joe’s time is divided between being on site and being in the site office.
Some of his duties include:
Using drawings to determine what works need marking out
What difference has doing the apprenticeship made to your life?
Joe feels that since starting this apprenticeship his confidence has grown a lot. He really enjoys learning on the job and being in an environment where the theory behind Engineering is put into practice.
What are your aims for your future career?
After this Joe would like to do his HNC in Civil Engineering
