EN:Able Communities charity seeks Trustees


Efficiency North's charity is now seeking trustees to guide the CIO through its next phase of growth.

EN:Able Communities CIO is a well-established and well-funded charity supporting economic regeneration in and around social housing.

The charity was established by social housing procurement consortium Efficiency North in 2015 as an innovative vehicle for social and economic regeneration in the communities of its social housing landlords across Yorkshire and Humber. To date it has given over £1m in support of these objectives.

The charity has an expected income stream of £700k in 2018/19, with a business plan for this to grow to exceed £1m per annum post 2020.

With these exciting plans to develop and grow, EN:Able Communities is now seeking four Trustees to guide the charity through the next phase of its transition.

In particular the charity is looking for expertise in:

  • Finance/ Audit

  • Senior Charity Leadership role

  • Experience of Employment skills sector or senior Policy / Strategy Leader

  • Community Development

The successful candidates will demonstrate strong commercial acumen, a passion for people, credibility in the charity, social housing or business sectors, high levels of energy and a proven interest in delivering social value.
