Sad loss of William Oliver

Sudden unexpected loss of EN:Able Futures Senior Apprenticeship Manager North East

It is with great sadness we bring the news of the sudden and unexpected death of our colleague William Oliver, Senior Apprenticeship Manager North East with EN:Able Futures

The whole team were devastated by the sudden loss at the end of October.

William had only been working with EN:Able Futures from March this year as our Senior Apprenticeship Manager, but since that time he had made a huge impact introducing flexi-job apprenticeships into the North East of England.

William was passionate about apprenticeships and the professional development of young people. For many years he had volunteered his time to train and support army cadets and other community causes. He was the recipient of Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee Medal and British Citizen Award for his exceptional contribution to society.

He was a well respected and greatly valued member of the Efficiency North team and he will be very much missed by everyone.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family.

Lee Parkinson, Chief Executive, Efficiency North said; “William had an infectious enthusiasm for his role in EN:Able Futures and, in the relatively short time he worked with us, he laid the foundations for our flexi-job apprenticeship offer in the North East of England. He approached every challenge with a smile on his face and he will be sadly missed by his colleagues across the company.”

Julie Deeley, Director of Operations, EN:Able Futures said; “William made a great impact launching our Flexi-Job Apprenticeship service in the North East. His compelling personality and approachable manner earned him a great respect from all external organisations he had built relationships with. The sudden loss of William has been felt by many and he will be sadly missed."

William began his career as an apprentice and kindly shared the story of his professional career in his own words HERE
