YBF Fund Supporting Training for Small Businesses

YBF Fund opened in January to help local SME's in Yorkshire & Humber with funding grant of up to £200 for training and business development

Since EN:Able Communities opened the YBF Fund in January for small businesses in Yorkshire & Humner to apply for up to £200 to help with upskilling, training opportunities and overall busines support, 17 small companies have received funding to help them deliver a range of training.

Companies include M.B. Roche & Sons Ltd who tell us how they benefited from the extra cash during the pandemic:
“Big thanks to YBF & Efficiency North for the Small Business Grant, we were able to put it towards a one day health and safety course for a new starter, this enabled him to apply for his green CSCS card a lot quicker than normal therefore he was able to work on a greater variety of sites for us” - Daniel Roche (Director) M.B.Roche & Sons Ltd

B Batch Group, another recipient of YBF Funding told us how the grant helped their business develop:

"The funding that we received has helped us put training in place that was needed after redundancies due to COVID - 19 and gaps that have been left and shortfalls in training. The main skills gap was fire warden training and the funding allowed us to complete this for 2 people to maintain compliance within our workshop. The service was very easy to use and application very quick.
The service has helped us maintain compliance within our workplace and use other resources in other departments to maintain compliance."  - Ian Meakes bbatchgroup.com
