Managed stores and van stock replenishment achieving savings through the Merchants Framework

Leeds City Council have been working in partnership with our Merchants framework supplier Wolseley Integrated Services. 

Using a managed stores and van stock replenishment solution they have been moving to a fully delivered service reducing the need for operatives to visit stores.

Whilst currently buying over 3,500 lines they have been able to reduce their materials spend by intense focus on the Top 60 spend items which represents half their monthly spend.

Contract savings achieved via the framework:

  • 8.6% reduction in overhead costs

  • 16% reduction in materials costs
